Project 1 – Community Leisure Centre

We recently carried out an Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessment for a popular community centre which provides general leisure facilities including an indoor sports hall, a bowles club, astroturf football facilities and a tennis court.

We accurately measured the property in accordance with RICS measurement standards and liaised with the client to determine the aspects to be included within the assessment.

We prepared the report utilising the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) to determine the current rebuild cost for properties of this type, within this location within the latest quarter to provide an accurate and up-to-date insurance assessment for our client.

Project 2 – Contemporary Listed Property

We were recently instructed to carry out a reinstatement cost assessment for a beautiful Grade 2 listed contemporary property located in North Wales.

The property is one of a kind and has many original features. The property benefits from an elevated position with a second storey lounge which enjoys views across to Liverpool and beyond.
The report was produced to meet the clients’ requirements and turned around in a timely manner to meet the required deadline.

The listed status was investigated further to determine the reasons for listing and carefully factored into our overall assessment figure.

Project 3 – Country Cottage

We were recently instructed to prepare a reinstatement cost assessment for a beautiful Grade 2 listed cottage in rural Cheshire.

The assessment factored in unique property features such as the thatched roof covering and traditional timber frame construction.

Properties of this type generally have an increased risk of fire due to the thatched element, internal multi fuel stove and traditional timber frame construction so an up to date and accurate reinstatement cost assessment is exceptionally important.

We reviewed the property listing and factored the properties listed status within our assessment as rebuild costs for listed properties are generally higher as the local conservation team would be involved in any rebuilding event and they would determine the building materials used.

The client was very pleased to obtain an up to date rebuild cost assessment to provide to her insurers.
